Baltic Porter | Whirlpool Hops | How To Brew Beer

Creating a whirlpool provides an opportunity to add whirlpool hops after the boil. Martin takes a look at the Brau Supply Whirlpool accessory and puts it to the test brewing a Baltic Porter.

Recipe:
5 lbs Pilsner; German
8.0 oz Carafa II
8.0 oz Caramel 60
4.0 oz Pale Chocolate (225.0 SRM)
1.50 oz Perle Pellets [7.00 %] – Boil 60.0 min
1.00 oz Styrian Golding Pellets [3.80 %] – Steep/Whirlpool Hop
1.0 pkg German Lager (White Labs #WLP830)

Mash at 152F for 60 mins
Boil for 60 mins
